When Jesus was 12 years old, He amazed the religious elders of Israel with His wisdom. (Luke 2:46-47) In the five scenes we see Jesus as a boy "Growing in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and others." (Luke 2:52) He grew in faithful harmony with God as He shared life with Mary, with nature, with Elders, with friends, and with Joseph. 4a. The Good SamaritanHere's the cherished parable of "The Good Samaritan." In this window Jesus tells the story of the stranger who stopped on the road to help an injured man after others had passed him by. The parable teaches us to be a good neighbor, and to do for others as we would have others do for us. The message in this parable window relates well to the window above it, which shows Jesus growing from childhood to manhood in perfect love and wisdom. Jesus received favor from God and others by living what He taught in this parable. Scripture:
