7. Jesus' Healing Ministry

The healing ministry of Jesus is the subject of this clerestory window. It pictures examples of His compassion and power to heal the sick and forgive sinners. We see in the center panel those who had been forgiven and healed gathering around Jesus. One woman, in gratitude, anointed Jesus' head with costly ointment from an alabaster jar.
The two panels on each side present Jesus in acts of healing those in need. In the name of God, Jesus forgave sin and made the sinners whole who received him as Savior.

This window illustrates the parable of "The Great Feast." It describes the reality of good and bad in human life. As in the story of the master who invited friends to his feast, so it is with us today.
Some people accept God's invitation to honor the Son and feast with Him in His kingdom of truth and life. Others reject Him, and suffer the consequences of darkness. As illustrated in the larger window above, Jesus comes to forgive sinners and save the lost. Those who accept God's merciful invitation receive wholeness of life.
